For you who are looking for a good blender for your kitchen or probably want to find a replacement for your old blender with the more advanced one then Ninja or Vitamix perhaps on your list right now.
Both Ninja and Vitamix are also on my wishlist right now. I was thinking to save some money and go with Ninja since it way cheaper, but as soon as I read this depth analysis by Blenderversus.com I started to doubt that Ninja blender is the one I am looking for.
If you read carefully on that article you should understand that Ninja indeed offers cheaper price but you cannot compare the quality between Ninja vs Vitamix, especially when you look at each material used on both blenders. Not only that, the fact that Vitamix established since 1921 makes them superior in this market. They seem really know how to give the best blending experience for their customers.
Why should you buy Vitamix than Ninja?
I am trying to be fair here and don’t want to do any campaign for Vitamix. But lets we think again if there anything in this world that provide the precisely same (100%) quality that comes with a different price, where the other is way cheaper? I don’t think there is. If there, it absolutely not 100% same. This is what also happens in the competition between Ninja and Vitamix. While Ninja claims they have Ninja Ultima Blender which comes with 1/3 cost of Vitamix blender, but do you think it really the same quality?
Let’s we reveal now. It is actually easy to compare these two blenders:
1. Vitamix has a more extended warranty than Ninja
If you buy stuff especially electronic stuff, you must be expected that that stuff able to serve you as long as possible. You don’t want to buy stuff that easily broken. And that is why all companies that sell electronic stuff provide a warranty which is the best indication of how long their product suppose to be able to serve you.
In this warranty terms, Vitamix comes with a longer warranty which is 5-year full warranty while Ninja kitchen blender only comes with 1-Year warranty where the customer has to take care the shipping cost to send it to Ninja selected office location.
2. Vitamix has stronger blades than Ninja
One of the most common parts in a blender that easy to broken is the blades. My old blender blades were bent after I used to blend a smoothie with frozen fruits. So having strong blades made by a high-quality material is essential. And from this point, I can say that Vitamix’s blade has better quality in term of the thickness and the quality of the material compared to Ninja kitchen blades.
What makes me even lean to Vitamix is because Ninja using sharps blades which are places in the middle of the blender, which can cut your fingers when you trying to scrape the blended foods from the blades. While Vitamix used a blunt blade, so it is totally safe for your hand.

Lately in 2017 Ninja kitchen released their new blender named Ninja Chef which now seems to adopt Vitamix blender which is using a blunt blade, this adoption also includes the design of the blades where before is like a cyclone in the middle of blender and now pretty similar like Vitamix’s.
3. Plastic makes almost all Ninja Kitchen blender materials
And again it is about the quality, with 1/3 price cheaper than Vitamix, the customer has to deal with plastic materials that almost used in all parts in the Ninja Kitchen blender. If you still can find a metal on the blender body and the socket that connect the blades with the motor in the Vitamix, you will not find the same things in Ninja. All used plastics. This is for sure correlated with the point no #1 I mentioned above where it will affect the length of usage for this blender
Is There Any Reason Why You Should Buy Ninja than Vitamix?
Based on sales and marketing rules, that every product has its own market. Then I would say Ninja still able to grab some customers out there. And why should you still count Ninja blender when you are going to buy a blender?
The answer is simple, it is about the price. Yes, sounds pretty basic. There will always room for any products if it comes with way cheaper than the standard price. In fact, the quality of Ninja blender is not really bad. It still beyond the average.
Final Verdict
To compare Ninja vs Vitamix is actually not the right competition, they both have different standards of quality. It is legitimate for Ninja to claim if they have the same quality blender as Vitamix blender but comes with a lower price. It is part of their strategy, and we are as the customer has to choose which one is suitable for our need and budget.
